Killing The Blues

I drove to my 6 week post op appointment today. This is the first time I've driven since I was admitted to the hospital. They took a few x-rays before the appointment. It looks like I have a spatula in my femur, attached with screws. My surgeon said everything is progressing normally and I can now use a stationary bicycle along with swimming. He also said in about three months I could probably test out running a little, but nothing ridiculous like a sprint or long distances. I was pretty psyched about the go-ahead for stationary bike riding. He also gave me a referral for physical therapy, which will most likely be a lot of stretching.

Tonight my husband and I are going to a concert. This time it's Robert Plant and Allison Krauss, together. We bought the tickets months ago, and it's a sold out show. My son and his "friend" will be going, too. The venue is at Humphrey's Concerts By The Bay, a smaller, outdoor venue that I've talked about before. We purchased the dinner/room package again, and we're really looking forward to it.

No official workout today, but I'm busting my butt cleaning the house.

Yesterday's song:
Walk This Way - Aerosmith and/or Run DMC - Simply Pink

i'm guessing allison krause but it could also be john prine.

anyway... i just can't picture allison krause and robert plant performing together. she seems so angelic and well, robert plant has always kind of been the epitome of rock to me.

i am hoping to find an ozomatli show near by me this summer.

Holy Moly, I don't show up for a while and look what happens to you. Glad you're doing better.

And a very belated Happy Birthday!

The reviews of the LA Plant/Krauss show were very good. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Re: the thumbs up...Yay! You're able to do more all the time. That's awesome. Cycling and swimming? This thing is going to force you into triathlons just you watch :)

I heard that show is awesome! Have fun.

I have to take it slow, but I am so happy I've been given the go ahead to do more! The concert was great.

We did! :)

Ok, I'll give it to you! Winner! Yeah, I wasn't sure what to expect at the concert, but it was awesome.

Hey, I think I know you! Good to see you. Thanks for the belated BD wishes and I am doing better. We met a few people from Los Angeles who jumped on the concert tickets here because it sold out up there. Awesome show!

AKA Alice,
We've seen other concerts there like Heart and Los Lobos, plus took a dinner picnic on the grass by the bay, so we could at least hear a couple of sold out shows like Peter Frampton. It's one of my favorite venues.

I've never NOT considered a tri. :) We'll see how it all goes with the healing part. The show was great!

I'm glad I got the green light, but I know I have my work cut out for me. We had a great time at the concert!

It feels good to get moving, finally. The concert was great! :)
