Happy Feet!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This morning I made my way to the chiropractor's office. He said that one leg was shorter than the other today, adjusted that, then worked on my feet. I always feel like jello when I leave there -- that's a good thing. I set up my next appointment on the Tuesday before the Marathon, so I should be good to go. I am dealing with a sore foot left foot, though. It's not bad. He said it was caused by my right side being off, causing my left side to over compensate.

Reality Check:
Now that I'm tapering it would be sooooo easy to back off and do next to nothing. Can't do that. Gotta keep moving...

Things that went right:
*My chiropractor visit.
*UBW with resistance bands - high reps.
*Eating more chicken, apples and bananas.
*My running shoes FINALLY went on sale. Saved about $25! Bought a pair for later in a different color!

Things that need improvement:
*I ate a couple of those Chocolate Caramel Cookies (Rolo Cookies) Luckily, there's nothing left so the temptation is gone! (But they were sooooo good!)Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
*Pay bills.
*I have to fit in HIIT recumbent bike tomorrow morning.Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

PEACE

Good luck on your marathon! I'm so jealous! Wish I could run like like you.

I'm so trying that recipe next free day. Except I'm thinking about using Snickers minatures. Do you think you've got to use Rolos? I love Rolos, but I've been craving Snickers.

You reminded me, I really need to look for new running shoes.

I liked the letter thing. Will have to try one soon.

And those mother's day presents! Oh, my.

Chantal,
I didn't start out running. I began running at about age 40. It's 6+ years in the making... Thanks so much for the encouragment! :)

Cheri,
You could try the Snickers, just for the sake of science ;) ... The Rolos were just the right size and melted flat with the cookie. Hmmmm... I wonder how the Snickers would turn out... Now I'm curious. Yeah, my animals know how to show their gratituded... I suppose it was better than having a rodent placed strategicly on my pillow... which has happened before. (Ewwww!) BTW, We live near a canyon. Have fun shoe shopping. I lucked out and found mine in a catalog with free shipping. :)

I need to make a dessert for my nephew's graduation party, maybe I'll try those. I can never just make one thing, so I'll probaby do those and something else. I LOVE caramel. Mmmmmm..........

So, there is hope for me yet, I just started running in the past year and just feel like I'm hopeless for doing anything more than 6 miles. You're my inspiration!

Donna,
My daughter put the cookies (a day later,if they last that long) in the microwave oven for a few seconds, just to soften the cookie a little and the caramel melts... Mmmmmmmm... As for running, our friend who's running in the marathon with us, the one we coerced in to signing up, has never really run far distances before. He's used to the short sprints in soccer. He just turned 49 and this is his first marathon.

Shpprgrl,
It's worth the effort, even though they're not that hard to make. I always feel like I spend too much on running shoes. Free shipping and $25 off the original price made my day!

Tom,
My husband almost always finds his shoe type on sale. I rarely do, so it was a happy moment! :)

When you make your cookies, let us know how they turn out!
