I participated in the SDTC Tuesday night workout last night. I found out that our C group is called The Kinks and not Cake like I thought... I kind of liked the name Cake better, although I do like The Kinks music .
Activity: Run
Date: 01/08/08 05:54 PM
Distance: 2.36 miles
Time: 0:22:58
Speed: 6.2 mph
Pace: 9' 43 min/mile
Calories: 225
Our group did a jog/stride along the straight aways, then jogged/walked the curves for 8 laps. Basically, we did intervals, and it looked like this:
It took about the first half mile for me to get in the swing of things, plus I didn't start my tracker until we were already into the run.
I arrived at the track little late due to bad traffic. A 10 minute drive took 30 minutes. The A group was already out running and the B and C groups were doing a series of stretches. My husband never made it because he was stuck in traffic someplace else, and by the time he was near by the workout was over. He went running in our neighborhood instead.
The SDTC schedule gives only one rest day. I'm thinking I may need to incorporate a second rest day or do something completely different that puts no weight on my legs because my knees are starting to twinge, and that's not a good sign. When I ran 3 to 4 days a week I had little to no knee pain.

Sounds like things are going along well. Take it easy with your knees.
Leslie,
I always laugh when the song comes on because they actually play the telephone! Winner!
