E - "Can I play with my race track set?"
Me - "Only if you pick up your other toys first."
E - "OK."
The toys are picked up and put away neatly. The race track comes out of the storage bin in the closet and is set up on the living room coffee table.
Me - "It's been a long time since you've played with that track set. Do the cars need batteries? They seem a little slow."
E - "Imagination doesn't need batteries."

So adorable!!! Thanks for the big smile on my face from this peek into Evan's mind!
The Temptations!
That Jacob -- er, Evan -- is adorable.
I love that you got him to pick up his toys first...awesome.
Hey about four posts back you commented about your lethargy...a friend of mine drove down from Ramona today and commented on how brown the air was...maybe its more smoggy here than we are noticing. I know that I've felt completely out of it this week too.
Now isn't that something?? Really makes you think, huh? Out of the mouths of babes......
Love it ...... we have that same track ...... good clean LOUD fun ...... all weekend long.
Too Cute! I am jelous of how he thinks.
Leslie,
Now that he's in school, it's like a whole new world has opened up!
Anne,
Winner! I think he's adorable, but I'm biased. Thanks.
AKA Alice,
The deal was that he couldn't play with that track set until his other toys were picked up. He did have a little help, but he did most of it. ;) Maybe you're right about the smog levels. Others have been complaining about being lethargic as well.
Barbie2be,
His head is like a little sponge right now. I sure hope that lasts!
Katie,
The thing I like is that it's not a video game, and even with the batteries you have to shake those cars furiously to get them going! He spent a couple of hours playing with those cars. :)
Evelyne,
It blew my mind when he said that. I thought he would want me to change out the batteries, but no.
Waddler26.2,
Me too. :)
what a cutie pie! and so so smart!
NSM,
Thanks!
