No More Drama

I'm not sure why it never occurred to me to use the attachment pictured to the left to make banana bread. I've been using the wire whip attachment all this time, just because that's what I've always had out. Banana bread batter doesn't need to be whipped up, and it's probably better, texture wise if it isn't. The flat beater doesn't whip it up as much.

Oh yeah, I made banana bread today. I didn't measure anything and used dried cherries instead of cranberries.

It's rather quiet here right now. We had a little excitement with an earthquake here today, but I didn't feel it. I have a friend who works in a high rise hotel, and he mentioned feeling some wobbling.

No drama. Boring, but no drama. I believe peace negotiations are over and everyone has gone their own way. I hope.

I have never seen one of those contraptions, so I'll take your word for it. =)

Regarding your photo for Schmap, that's Awesome!

I've actually never used the wire one! I guess if I were to do something lighter than cake batter then I would use it, but most of my stuff is heavier texture.

i pretty much only use my whip for things like custards or whipping cream. most everything else gets the paddle treatment.

I always use that attachment for quickbreads and cookies. Things I haven't made in a long while :( Glad peace has rolled into town.

Wendy,
I was used to the hand mixer, and the one my mom had when I was a kid only had the two beaters. I had no clue, either. Thanks -- I was happy to get my photo on Schmap!

Katie,
Winner! I had no idea there were so many attachments! There's even one to make ice cream.

Barbie2be,
I really need to try ALL of the attachments the machine came with. It also came with a bread dough hook.

Michelle,
Weight Watcher's has a great cookbook. There has to be something in there you can bust out that mixer for. :)
