Red House

The "Run For The Hungry" 5k is complete. It wasn't pretty, but I finished with a respectable time of 27:29 - my time posted at the event. Even though the event coordinators asked walkers, people with dogs and people with strollers to start at the back, a lot of them didn't listen, so we started the run slow. Once we got going, it was easy to weave around walkers and dogs, and it never bottle-necked, so there was plenty of room to pass. Most of the stroller folks were speedy. It was kind of hard to breathe, still having a cold and dealing with chest crud. I did what I could and feel good about the run. This event was not chipped.

Pre-race with the crowd

Look! I'm finally wearing Dori's "FIND YOUR HAPPY PACE" shirt! The color actually worked well with my running skirt.

Michael and I

A band at the race playing "Red House." The girl on guitar, about 10 years old, was awesome.

HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

have a happy thanksgiving. good job on the run. it never works to tell the walkers to start in the back. I always thought they should line the strollers and walkers on the left and the runners on the right. That way they wouldn't get that 'back of the bus' attitude.
