One For My Baby (And One For The Road)

Over this Thanksgiving weekend I:

  • saw my sister and her family, all at the same time.
  • ran in a 5k
  • watched what I ate at the big Thanksgiving meal.
  • didn't watch too closely what I ate the days after.
  • spent time with my husband's side of the family.
  • watched a few cheesy Christmas movies with my husband.
  • stayed away from the malls.
  • had family and friends over at my house.
  • nursed my cold.

Now I need to take a look at my running and workout plan, or remake one. I have already exceeded my goal of 12 run events for the year. I'm up to 13 run events, but I would still like to fit in just one more to top off the month of December. There is one event on December 8, but I haven't signed up for that one yet because I need to make sure we can fit it in. It's purely a logistics issue. If we don't do that one, there are a few right before the end of the year.

Have a wonderful post Thanksgiving week!

Leon Russel?

Sounds like you had a good weekend! Sorry you have a cold. How was the 5K?

Thanks for stopping by my blog and thinking about me. I was feeling a little low and your comment picked me right up!

That sounds like a great weekend! I think everyone needed a four-day break - all the blogs sound cheery and the weekend fun.

Sounds like a nice Holiday. Wow, 13 runs? That's alot. Good luck with your plans!

There's also the Mainly Masters 10k close to you on Fiesta Island that starts this Saturday -- Dec. 1. Two races, one at 7:30 for the Open (39 and under) and another at 8 for the Masters (40 and up). Low-key event that's actually a nice run. The USO 8k is a good one, too.

Dori,
I checked but I can't find if Leon Russel did that song. Keep guessing! Hang in there with everything. It's probably the move and the holidays all rolled into one. Take care.

Michelle,
Absolutely! We're ready for another 4 day weekend!

Evelyne,
Against the hard core event runner, 13 for the year is not much, but it's plenty for me! I'm having fun with it, too, and I've met some great people.

Anne,
I just might consider it. I was looking for a 5k but the Mainly Masters event is just down the road... I'll see how it goes and how the energy is. Thanks for the info!

Barbie,
Winner! It was a good 4 days, but it's good to be back to "normal."

NSM,
It was good. Every year should be so smooth, minus the cold. :)
