Let It Grow

Gardening before and afters of my cucumbers!

I had to be out at the "new" old house this morning for my range and dishwasher delivery and actually remembered to bring my camera. Blogger was being kind today and I was able to upload more than 3 pictures without my computer exploding.SmileyCentral.com

These next three photos are of my zinnias. I was playing around with the shutter speed and macro setting for these shots:

Finally, this last photo is of a "volunteer" sunflower bud. Either a bird dropped the seed or someone was eating sunflower seeds in the back yard. I like this shot because there's a little bug hiding in the petals to be.

I'll post a later about workout stuff and all about the photo shoot I did for my friend who looks remarkably like Jack Sparrow. OMG, it was fun. There's pictures to post but he has the media card, so I will have to wait for him to return it.

PEACE

Beautiful plants and flowers. The sunflower looks especially cool the way it's all curled in on itself, slowly unfurling. "Ah, sunflower..."

Stunning! I especially like the sunflower picture. How did your appliance installation go?

Clapton.

You take the best pictures.

Cool pictures! I wish I could take pictures like you so I can frame them and hang them all over my house.

Miss Rachel,
I'm trying to get photos while everything is still green and looking decent. The heat really took it's toll on some of my plants. The sunflower was a pleasant surprise.

Sister Smile,
Thank you very much! The bug was a nice little surprise. They installed the range (I LOVE IT!) and just delivered the dishwasher because hubby needs to demo one of the cabinets to fit in the dishwasher...

Tom,
DING DING DING... YOU WIN! Gotta love Clapton! (I have this thing for guitar players...) I have a very cool camera that hubbie gave me for Christmas last year, and I'm having fun figuring it out. Thank you for the compliment. :)

Chantal,
Thank you! At some point I will frame some of the pictures for my "new" old house, once we get there.

Guitar players are the best. I like 'em all, rhythm, lead, bass.

When I grow up, I'm gonna be a bass player.

Those are great pictures. I'm a sucker for flower pictures and guitar players. :-) My favorite is the sunflower.

Tom,
I met my husband at the beach. He played the guitar that day... ;)

Dori,
I like the sunflower, too. I'm planning on enlarging, matting and framing that one. :) Thanks.

That picture of the white zinnia is awesome. I love the blue/purple colors in that shot. You are quite the photographer!

I love cucumbers. My forever friend's parents had cucumbers in their garden when we were kids. We did some serious damage to the crop. We could eat more cucumbers than imaginable!

Thanks Shpprgrl! That flower in the shot with the blue overtones is the same yellow flower in the picture right above. Different settings... I love photography. I also love cucumbers, too! I will be sad when summer is over and I no longer have cucumbers for my salads or for just munching on!
