Wounded Feet

Are we awake yet??? It's worth the early wake-up time to experience such a great morning as this. This is the track club doing the post warm-up run stretch routine at Mission Bay Park before Saturday's 15K.

My thing right now is working on form and I use the pictures from the track club to figure out how much further I need to improve, however, there's no full picture of me running, at least not yet...

Well, there's the backside of me on the left side of the picture. (I don't know who the guy is, but he's super fast, because I'm probably just past the 5 mile point and this guy is running in for the finish.) I couldn't find any pictures of my husband.

I'm supposed to have a track club workout tonight but my foot is still a little twingey and I'm not recouping from the run as quickly as I normally do. I went into the GP this morning for the *just in case* scenario. My foot will be fine in a few days and my leg is just dealing with D.O.M.S. (Delayed onset muscle soreness.) I'm going to take an extra rest day and not run tonight.

good to give yourself some rest. it does take time to get back into pre-injury form.

Your form looks good from the back. Is there a drug for the annoyingly fast? :-)

It's good to see you blogging again.

Melanie,
Thanks, it's still achey, but I think it will heal quickly, as long as I don't do anything stupid...

Barbie2be,
Winner! I know. I'm backing off as much as possible. It won't kill me to miss a week or two of running.

Deene,
What's going on with the weather out there this year? It's one cold snap after the next! I hope Spring arrives for you soon! My foot is a little better each day.

Dori,
Hmmm, drug for the annoyingly fast... I'm always amazed by those speedy folk! Thanks. :)I'm blogging, just not daily, and it's so much better that way.
