I finally got in my 20K... 2:36. Just 2 miles shy of me finishing, asthma kicked in and I had to do a walk/run. Last week 8 miles was all I could muster, so about 12.8 this week felt like a success. My initial time goal to finish the half marathon (13.1 miles) was anything faster than 2:26:00, even if it was 2:25:59. The flu really threw me off. I'm on my way back and I plan on doing another 20K training run next Saturday or Sunday, and I hope I'll be just a little bit faster.
Peace

Congrats on your 20K. What an accomplishment!
Sorry to hear about your assma. I have that as well: I'm on Singulair and Advair, and I've gotten into the habit of taking a couple of toots of Albuterol as a precaution before most runs and carrying the Albuterol with me on long runs. Are you on a similar treatment program?
WOW on the Running ..over 2hrs...Geees that is a LONG time to be out running- ever! I remain very impressed!

Congrats on the 20K. Sorry about the asthma.
Sister Smile,
Thanks! Last week 8 miles was hard so it felt good to get in the miles! I like "assma." LOL Yes it is a pain in the ass! I'm on abuterol but forgot to pack it with me since I haven't had issues in quite a while... I'll have to check out other inhalers and/or meds.
Pamela,
Theoretically, I should be able run that in just 2 hours and spare change, but whatchagonnado? I'm good with it, I got it done! Thanks!
Katie,
Winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! If I don't watch what I eat the asthma rears it's ugly head... Dairy can be a trigger.
