A new workout plan, including exercises that involved sprinting, but also the variations of the squats and lunges. No pictures of this, either. You wouldn't have wanted to see this, anyway. Trust me.
PS:
I've recently received information about The Fresh Air Fund, and they kindly asked that I mention their information on my blog. The Fresh Air Fund is still looking for runners and sponsors to join the Fresh Air Fund-Racers team for the New York City Half-Marathon on August 16th. It looks like a very worth-while cause. If you get a chance check out the site to either join the event or donate. I've also added a link on my sidebar.
"Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund has been giving inner-city children the joy of a summer vacation with volunteer host families and at Fund camps, creating unforgettable memories and fresh possibilities. The Fresh Air Fund, a not-for-profit agency, has provided free summer experiences in the country to more than 1.7 million New York City children from disadvantaged communities. Each year, thousands of children visit volunteer host families in 13 states and Canada through the Friendly Town Program or attend one of five Fresh Air Fund camps."

Your run and Legoland look fantastic!
And, I was pretty shocked when you said 6 year old Grandson! You look amazing :) He's a cutie too
good stuff.
i've been to lego land - maybe 10 yrs ago when my kids were little. :-)
Now that is a full weekend. I'm not big on amusement parks, but Legoland looks kind of fun.
Irene, what beautiful family you have. Happy Birthday to your grandson! And yeah, that run looks amazing.
Looks like a fantastic weekend for sure! Great pics :)
Looks like Legoland was a big success for not just Evan. Glad your weekend went so well and, as always, it was wonderful to run with you during a brief part of it.
I used to live in the Shenandoah Valley and can vouch that The Fresh Air Fund is a wonderful organization and really lives up to its mission. Lots of inner-city kids used to come out to experience a slower pace and woodland and parks, often for the first time in their lives.
Nice photos. it's always fun to spend time with family.
Ahhhhh...Legoland with the little ones. I love that place :-)
I'm back this week! Can't wait to see you again!
Legoland looks fun!!!
Happy Birthday to Evan!!!
huey lewis and the news.
even looks like he had a great time. everyone seems to be going to lego land this year!
That Harbor Island looks like a cool run. How come everyone else's run routes are so much more appealing than mine? I'm moving.
RunningLaur,
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! :)
Lisa,
It's perfect for a kid between the ages of about 6 and 10, or so. It was the first time for all of us.
Rachel,
Thank goodness it wasn't too crowded. The kid loved it.
Cami,
Thanks. I think he had a good day. :)
Anne,
I always run a little bit faster when we start off together, so it's always good for me, too! Fresh Air looked like a good thing, which is why I decided to post a blurb about it.
Mel,
It turned out well, but we sure came home tired!
Deene,
Now that my own kids are older it's hard to go anywhere as a family, so this was fun.
AKA Alice,
It was much better than I had anticipated. Hooray! You'll be back!
Katie,
It was fun!
Barbie2be,
That's the album, but no song! Now you'll have to go borrow a kid and go to Legoland!
Nitmos,
It's a great morning run, that's for sure!
