Blueberry HIll

I did about a 2.5 miler in my neighborhood this morning. I thought it would be a good idea to tackle one of the steeper hills just two blocks away. Well, I have my work cut out. It's one heck of a steep hill. I would equate it do doing stairs because I had to be on my toes to make it up. I only stopped once because I had to cross the street and there was traffic. Well, as I see it, that's going to be a new challenge -- going up and down that hill more than once at a time. Someone unplugged my cell phone last night while it was charging, so I couldn't use my wireless run tracker . I did my run in about 26 minutes.

I've signed up for the Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco. It took me about 2 hours to do because Active.com was busy. I e-mailed my brother to see if any of the women runners in his life (who live up that way) would join me, but I don't know yet. I'm pretty excited about this particular run. I hope I can get someone to join me, or at least get in with a group here in San Diego who is training for it.

Got called into work today. Gotta go.

Have a wonderful day!

PEACE

I want to run the Nike half!!! Keep your fingers crossed that I can get signed up tomorrow. I tried today, but turns out today's only for women who have run it in the past. Tomorrow is crazy busy for me, but if I'm meant to be in it, then I will be, right?

It would be great fun to do this together!

Sounds like fun! Can't wait to read the race report. I'm struggling to get restarted again after a lousy run. You inspire me.

Pamela,
After seeing "Finding Nemo" a million and one times, that's kind of where I got "just keep running"... Well, it's supposed to be swimming, but I'm not swimming... not yet, any way. :) BTW, Winner!!!!

Cathy,
I couldn't believe how quickly it sold out! It seemed like it took forever to sign up because the site was so busy. Join me next year?

Sister Smile,
I'm getting in the running groove again. It's not that I stopped, it's just that I wasn't really training. It's just now that I'm getting excited about it. Perhaps with spring around the bend, and warmer weather ahead, you'll get back into the groove again, too.
