Even though I wasn't feeling 100%, I felt like I needed to get in some hills, so I took on THE HILL, the one just after the 1.5 mile marker. It kind of helped that I didn't run THE HILL right at the start, but had somewhat of a warm up prior to it, so I was able to sort-of run up. Even with a couple of stops for traffic along the way, I'm feeling really good about my time because I wasn't pushing for speed. I even turned off the mile marker beep on my WRT, so I wasn't really sure how far I had gone until I was finished, but I did have an idea.
I don't make it a practice to weigh in every day, but I felt like I needed to since my activity since Saturday wasn't all that great, even with yesterday's lack luster UBW. I weighed in at 124 this morning. I'm not holding my breath with that number right now, especially with the carb-loading I have planned this week, but it was sort of nice to see the number drop. Technically, I'm just a pound from my initial goal of dropping 5 pounds from the last challenge, and getting to wear the new running clothes (red & black) which was my prize for losing that 5 pounds. If everything continues as it has, I'll give it about 2 weeks time to settle into the 124 spot.
Today is my daughter's 24th birthday. I'm not sure if we're doing anything with her tonight or not. I believe she has plans with the BF. He already brought her a dozen red roses first thing this morning. We'll probably have a little cake this evening and a few small gifts. We'll see how the day goes.
We managed to get the cat back in the house, or at least I did. She was meowing, in the bushes near the front porch. I had to coax her out with food, and grabbed her. She was happy to be back in and was glued to me all night... My cats live indoors, and she had never been outside of this house since we moved here. She didn't know how to get back in.
Peace

hmmm... gotta be the presidents of the USA or the pogues.
happy bd to your daughter. oh, to be 24 again. :)
I just stopped in to say hi! It's good to see you're still running. Congrats on your accomplisments :)
I'm glad your kitty came back. Ours ran away months ago and I don't think he's ever coming back. Anyway...please relay my best birthday wishes to your daughter and say hi to the family for me.
Take care,
Angie
HI!
Happy bday to your daughter!
Good job on the run. Tapering is tough, isn't it?
Congratulations on 124, which means you're in the LOW 120's. I know what you mean about waiting to see if it sticks -- I have some new pants that fit in the store, but I haven't dared to try them on here at home in case the store was the magical reason they fit!
glad to hear luna is home! whenever my cat accidentally gets out, she just stands there in the grass looking at me like, what the heck is this green stuff?
Barbie2be,
Winner with Pres. of the USA! To be 24, again? If I could be that age with the life experience I have now, then we're talking!
Angie,
I've missed seeing you around! I hope everything is going well for you. Thanks for stopping by. HUGS!!!
Katie,
Howdy!!!
Leslie,
I think she had a good b-day! My thing with tapering is backing off the carbs until right before race day! My best weight is around 121 to 118 with muscle, even though the books/charts say I should be 115 or less. I look too emaciated when my weight gets that low. My purple running skirt is my measure of how things are right now. It's fitting much better! Yay!
NSM,
She used to get out at our other house but always found her way back in. At this house she's always been indoors and didn't know her way around outside. I'm glad she's back in, too. We used to have a cat that sounds a lot like yours! "What is all this outdoors stuff???" LOL...
That wouldn't have been my guess. Anyway congrats on the 124 and good luck in SF.
Pat,
Sorry it wasn't Train or Jackson Brown this time... LOL.
Thanks for the "good luck!"
