I'm feeling a zillion times better today. I had a good run in the neighborhood. At first it didn't feel like it, but based on the pace it was decent, so that was a nice surprise. I also ran a different route and turned off the mile indicator beep on the wireless run tracker. Perhaps ignorance is bliss? Not knowing how far I've actually gone did something mentally? I got out before it became too hot, but the humidity was still there, but it wasn't a factor. For the first time in a long time I enjoyed my run. To celebrate my run, I turned on the sprinklers in the front yard and just stood there, on the lawn, to cool off.

Yesterday my food wasn't all that great. I didn't cheat all that much, a few Nilla Vanilla Wafer Cookies here and there with DGS, but I still felt sluggish all day. I drank a lot of water, hoping that would help the headache situation. Maybe the water helped. Today the food choices are better, so far. I didn't post here yesterday, but I ended up with a headache that wiped me out. I don't get a lot of headaches, though , so I'm hoping it was the weird weather that triggered it. I know some people are blaming everything on the lunar eclipse the other night. Heh.

Have a great Thursday.

LOL at the sprinklers. I bet that felt good though.

headaches are lousy. Hey, is there a website that lists Socal or san diego races? I've gone to raceplace.com, but was wondering if there was a better or different site. I do like to run in different cities.

gotta run, pat

I think it's sometimes easier to run well when you aren't tracking mileage because you're maybe more relaxed. Just a theory. And if having a couple of Nilla Wafters is cheating, do not ask what I gorged on all week. It wasn't healthy.

Katie,
Winner! Oh, the Cookie Monster song is one of those songs that just sticks in your head!

Pat,
Raceplace.com seems pretty complete, and showed all of the races that I'm aware of, but Active.com is where I ususally go, mostly because I can sign up on that site.

Anne,
Since I'm doing the "You Are What You Eat Challenge" on the Pinkdumbbells.com site, I'm watching things like caloric intake, ratios and macros. It was more than a few cookies, too, more like handfulls, just not all at the same sitting. ;) I love cookies, especially when I have a little guy to share them with.

The funny part is that the song stick in my head and I'm caught singing it at work in Cookie Mosnster voice!
