Other People's Homes

BACK TO THE SUNDAY HOME TOUR...

I did see some wonderful home ideas, one of which was a wonderful kitchen/nook that was as large as my kitchen, dining room and living room together. If you like to cook and if that's where the all the home action happens, it is the perfect kitchen. I can dream... Some other interesting ideas were this powder room ceiling which made you feel as if you were under water. One of the comments about this ceiling was "It's like a mini Bellagio."

I personally enjoyed some of the landscape details, especially since we will need to think about a major landscaping project of our own in the near future, and I found these two completely different water fountains intriguing. First, this very traditional fountain that was strategicly placed int the front yard of a Craftsman style home

...then this Oriental style koi pond/water fountain in the front of another, more conteporary home.

I'm not sure how I would feel about having 400 people walking through my home in one afternoon, but these owners were very proud of their homes and more than happy to show them off. By the way, we were all required to wear surgical booties over our shoes before entering any of the homes on the tour.

I did come away with several creative home remodeling and decorating ideas. It's as if we physically walked through home decorating or architectural magazines.

The tour sounds like a lot of fun. I should look into something like that in my area...hmmm. I need some fresh new ideas for a kitchen redo. We're not planning on doing it anytime soon, but it's nice to have other ideas other than what you see in magazines. It seems like they just rehash the same stuff issue after issue.

I loved the hiking pics btw. You live in a beautiful area! That lake is fabulous! What kind of camera did you get? I'm asking because we need a newer/better one and the choices out there are so confusing.

Take care and talk to ya later!

I have a post I have been trying to get to Mt for the past 2 days, it seems to be down.
But all is well, and the next set of Pics is going to show some progress like always.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my site and the nice comments there and on muscle tank!

Things have gotten crazy this week and I haven't gotten everything posted but I'm still going strong. Thanks again.

Angie,
It's fun to actually see home that have been published in magazines. Most of the interior ideas I would never do, but I did like a lot of the landscaping ideas. The camera I now have is an 8 megapixel Olympus Evolt E-500 with a dual lens kit zuiko digital 17.5-45 F3.5-5.6, and the second lense zuiko digital 40-150mm F3.5-4.5. It rocks!

Tracer,
I hope Boomboom is giving us some great upgrades... I've been posting on Pinkdumbbells.com, but I miss the gang at MT. I still think you should on "One Amazing Profile." You've made some amazing progress! Hang tight. I'm sure it will be up and running in no time.

Smartypantz,
Thanks for visiting! I know how busy things get! Right now we're trying to make a home office into a two year old boy's room! My house is in chaos! You're gonna have great sucessin in your workout and nutrition program. I think the hardest part, well for me, was those before photos. If you've seen Tracer's page on MT and/or SOBF, then you know it's worth it to get those photos in... I should do the same...
Take care!
