I'm OK

The computer is up and running!carrot I'm not sure what was wrong, but my husband ran some tests last night and this morning, and it hasn't shut off yet, and it's been longer than 3 minutes.

Speaking of up and running, now I get to figure out a few things, like Lucy. I can post links direct from Garmin, but I'm still working on posting pictures of maps and such. I am not very techy, and I know a lot of this is probably elementary to most people, but I've learned my computer skillz on the sly. ("Hey, what does this button do?") It will take me a while to get it together, but once I do, those maps and such will be everywhere. Yes, a computer course is in my near future and is on my list of things to do in 2010, right next to acquiring full time employment. Any how, here's a link of this morning's run from the Garmin site:

Garmin Connect - Activity Details for Crown Point

I'm ready as I'll ever be for the Las Vegas RNRHM, sore foot included. Oh yeah, I have plantar fasciitis. Go me. It's not that bad, just a minor annoyance. I thought it was just the toe, but the toe ache is a a part of it all. Going for a PR is no longer in my mind, but I know I can go the distance, and thank goodness it isn't a whole marathon. Bryan has worked on my foot a few times and I've been icing it, rolling over a frozen bottle of water, wearing comfy shoes, and taking naproxen. I can't do ibuprofen - my lips swell up bigger than Angelina Jolie's - really - and it does nothing for me in that respect. I plan on taking a couple of weeks off from running after Las Vegas.

I haven't looked at my Google Reader yet, but I'm guessing it's rather full. It may take me a while to catch up on everyone's happenings, not unless I hit "mark as read" for everything and just start from scratch. I'll try not to do that.

By the way, we had some pretty good rain the day after Thanksgiving. We just need a little more.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about your injury. Hope it heals soon.

I'm with you on computer skills...I'm like the ostrich. When a new gadget comes out, I just pretend it doesn't exist.

Sorry about your foot issues.

Sorry to hear about the foot injury. That's one of the more stubborn ones to heal. Have a great time in Vegas.

Too bad about the PF... I hope it doesn't become anything worse than the annoyance that it is right now. My PF/Heel Spur is a continual pain that I just live with anymore.

I'm glad you're up and back on line! I'm right with you on the whole Garmin techie stuff. I just got mine in the mail today and I'm trying to figure it out.

You'll do great at the LVRR, even if you aren't able to PR this time around.

Good luck this weekend. After that take care of your foot. I've never had PF (knock on wood) and I hear it can be one of the tougher injuries to take care of...

OH NOOOOOOOOO! Not PF!!!!

Keep stretching and icing. It's the only thing.

woo hoo i finally picked the song!!

I am so sorry you are suffering with PF! That sucks! But be careful! It can be a very long lasting painful thing!!! Take care of your foot!

Now I wish I was doing Vegas!

I personally never found the Angelia pouty lips that attractive, so no loss there.

I'm sure you do the tennis ball and ice on the PT but just be positive and all will go well!

Good luck in Vegas, baby!

IRFF,
It's not that bad, and due to other things, I don't notice it so much any more. :) Class will happen in January!

Katie,
Winner! It's not THAT bad, just annoying. It already feels better.

Anne,
I'm not noticing it so much anymore. I hope that's a good sign.

Sara,
I'm just going to LV to have fun! I can still walk it, so I'll be fine. :)

Mel,
Thanks! It's much better already. I keep hearing how tough PF issues can be!

Glenn,
Thanks! I hope to see you at another race sometimes soon.

AKA Alice,
I'm so special. :) I guess PF was bound to find me at some point. I mean, why not? PS: Layers!

Deene,
Thanks! I plan on taking it easy.

Penny,
Yeah, I've heard all kinds of things about PF being a real pain in the foot, but mine doesn't seem to be THAT bad.

Jill,
I discovered I was allergic to Ibuprofen on one of my 30 something birthdays. My lips were ridiculously puffy. Thanks for the encouragement. :)
