Moving In Stereo

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I haven't had a chance to run since before Thanksgiving due to sheer exhaustion. Too much going on with the house. I ended up "fixing" the floors, but they look great. I will get back into a running routine before the end of this week, even if it's a 2 miler in the new neighborhood. I haven't weighed myself, or guesstimated body fat percentages in a while, but I'm guessing I'm doing okay since everything still fits. I've been keeping extremely active.

The move is going well but slow, but that's okay. We hooked up the stereo so, at least, we can be connected to the world... LOL... Hubbie and I are partially moved in so we can get more things tended to. I need to call SDG&E to make sure the 1947 heater still works okay, hook up the internet and cable, and see about bringing one of the cats with me. (I really want to bring the dog first but the fence and gates must be repaired first). We had a gigantic 11' X 18' Persian rug (Grandma's rug that came with the house) cleaned last week and the cost to have it cleaned was rather steep BUT it would have cost so much more to purchase a new rug. It does look 100% better, though, since I don't think it had been professionally cleaned since Grandma was around.

I'm at the other house right now, packing more stuff, trying NOT to look at the mess, and catching up on my blog, e-mails, regular mail, and so on. My dog was really happy to see me.

Peace

Get that heater going -- it's cold in the morning now, isn't it?! Yikes. I had to pull out the thick tights this morning when I saw it was only 37 degrees. Good luck with the rest of the move!

Hey there! I'm in the same boat as you, no running after Thanksgiving. In my case, it's more due to laziness. I just started running again yesterday. Don't know what I did but I seem to have injured my right knee. Grrr! Anyways, you'll be back to your old running self in no time!

I'm so impressed by all the work you've been doing with the house. Wanna move over here and help me with my house projects? ;-)

It's coming, slowly but surely. Glad you got the floors sorted out. Hopefully, that's the last time you'll need to think about doing that again for another ten or fifteen years.

Deb,
Thanks for visiting! I'm already back to running! I sure missed it.

Evelyne,
Aw, you're so sweet! I wish you could lend me a hand, too! So much junk to go through, still!

Anne,
I broke down and bought a little floor heater at Walmart. It's a wee bit chilly in the mornings! I can't complain, though. It's not snowing! LOL...

Chantal,
After Thanksgiving I was super tired but we HAD to get stuff done so hubbie and I could make the move. I am loving being at the house, though! I really feel blessed! If I could afford to, I would hire professionals to get EVERYTHING finished up. Labor is soooooo costly. ;)

Sister Smile,
I hope so. I also have a dog, so I may have to tend to the floors a little sooner than 5 years... At least the floor looks good for now. :)

Dori,
Thanks! I'm enjoying it!

Waddler,
I live in CA so I don't have to worry (too much) about weather and moving. Yeah, it's a busy season but it's forcing us to get things done. Thanks for the wishes. :)

Melissa!
Great to see you! I started up running again and it's going okay. I need to really amp things up, though.

Barbie,
Winner! It's funny because that son reminds me of the movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." I hate moving, too. Good thing we don't move too often, and I predict that this is the LAST move we will have to make. I am really happy in my new place! I LOVE IT!
