The other day at sports rehab, Monday to be exact, I had mentioned that my left calf was sore, perhaps from my 16 mile run on Saturday. B worked on my calf and mentioned how tight it was. It hurt like all get out when he worked on it, but that's usually the case. I had to go to that warm, sandy beach in my mind, plus do some deep breathing.
Fast forward to now...
I showed B my calf today and he said something like "Did I do that?" "Don't take pictures!" To which I replied "I am sooooo taking a picture!"
There it is.
Yep. Nice and bruised.
Does it still hurt? Yes.
Am I upset? No. I bruise quite easily. I could have done that all by myself, for free. There is a method to the madness, but I wish it didn't have to hurt.

Ouch! I hope it was worth the bruise. I love your song title titles (does that make sense?). Very creative!
Hope the calf feels better!
i bruise easily too, and failed to take a pic after my last session, but I do go back for some more ART tonight. :) hope the calf is feeling better!
I'm not sure who sings "Cruel to be Kind" but I know it's in the movie Ten Things I Hate About You.
Ouch on your calf. Did he do it with a foam roller?
Sara,
Usually, the temporary pain is worth it. I guess he just went a little too hard. I title all of my blogposts with song titles. I got the idea from someone else and it just kind of stuck with me.
Melanie,
I probably wouldn't of taken a picture, but when B jokingly told me not to take a picture, I decided to jokingly do so... The calf IS feeling much better. :)
Katie,
No, not the foam roller, his thumbs, but I did use a foam roller on my hip, which isn't bruised. Hmmmm. ;)
Ouch! Hope it stops hurting soon!
