"This week's theme is ... Gearing Up For Summer. With the really warm summer temperatures around the corner, it is time to dust off our warm weather gear, tips and know how in order to transition and run well into summer. Share your best tips for how you transition from cooler to warmer temperatures as well as stay cool during those hot weather runs."
Aside from the usual tips of staying hydrated, running earlier in the morning before it gets too hot, or after the sun goes down, DO NOT forget the sunscreen, preferably with an SPF of 30 or higher, and reapply if necessary. I prefer sunscreens that are water-resistant. I currently use Kinesys, but I'll use the kid's Banana Boat in a pinch.

I am so with you on the sunscreen! I've been using K2 for my face. It's SPF 50 and hasn't run into my eyes so far. It also moisturizes.
For the rest of me & especially my tattoo, I use Miami Ink SPF 50 sunscreen. It smells great- like coconut suntan oil. It also moisturizes. Love it!
Great post!
beck?
my tip is don't forget to put sunscreen on your ears! when you have short hair or if you wear your hair in a pony when running or just being outside your ears can get sunburned too!

Thanks for the reminder ... I need to get some before I go to SF this weekend.
Thank you for the reminder and the link to Kinesys!
Have a great weekend!

Yea for summer!!!
Re the running shoes in your previous post: I think they're the same ones I bought. So far so good.
Sara,
Good tat tip! ;)
Barbie2be,
Good guess, but Beck's song is "Girl." Oh yeah, the ears. I always wear my hair back in a pony tail and hat. I do spray the ears but it's a tip worth repeating. I think ears are often forgotten.
Katie,
Winner. I had a feeling you'd get this one. :) Are you ready for B2B?
Lee,
You're welcome! My husband uses Coppertone, but I don't like the scent. Kinesys doesn't have much of a scent to it, it at all.
Rachel,
So far the shoes are great! I'm glad I made the purchase.
